This policy explains what personal data EasyNif collects when you use this website, why we need it, how long we keep it, and what rights you have over it.

We process your data to perform the service you ordered — preparing and filing your NIF application with the Portuguese tax authority — and to communicate with you about it. Filing a NIF application is impossible without your identity and address documents, so providing them is a condition of the service rather than an optional extra.
We also process the minimum data needed to comply with our own legal and accounting obligations.
We share your application data with the Autoridade Tributária e Aduaneira (Finanças) and, where your plan includes it, with the fiscal representative acting for you. We use an email delivery provider to send transactional messages such as verification codes, and a messaging integration to notify our own team internally that a new request has arrived.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.
Uploaded documents are stored in private storage that is not publicly reachable and is served only to authenticated, authorised staff. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes and are never recoverable in plain text. Access to client records is limited to team members who need it to process applications.
We keep your account and application records for as long as your account is active, and afterwards only for the period required to meet legal and accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete uploaded identity documents once your NIF has been issued and the fiscal representation period has ended.
Under the GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we process it. Some requests cannot be met while an application is in progress, because we need the underlying documents to complete the filing you asked for.
To exercise any of these rights, email easynif.com@gmail.com from the address on your account. You also have the right to complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the CNPD.
We set a session cookie so you stay logged in, and a cookie that remembers your chosen language. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.
